4,594 Ohioans to Heartland Petroleum: “Be a good neighbor”

COLUMBUS — Since July, 4,594 Ohioans have sent letters, messages, and children illustrations to Heartland Petroleum CEO William Snedegar, urging him to upgrade his facility. Letters call for the company to use the most up to date pollution controls, eliminate odors, and to work closely with neighboring residents and businesses to make sure Heartland becomes a good neighbor. Many letters draw on personal experiences, including working, living, or driving past Heartland and experiencing odors or health impacts, struggles with asthma and allergies, and community pride.
