CINCINNATI and CLEVELAND — As of May16, 6,677 Ohio Citizen Action members have sent handwritten letters urging the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and Governor John Kasich to stop the financial bailout of Ohio’s outdated, least efficient coal plants. FirstEnergy, American Electric Power and Duke Energy want to shift the cost of these outdated coal plants to consumers because they are no longer competitive in the free market. Six thousand Ohioans have let the PUCO that these utility bailouts are a bad idea.

Thank you to our amazing field organizers who helped to make that happen.
