Glendale launches curbside recycling

CINCINNATI — “After a thorough study in the past year, the Village of Glendale is adopting curbside recycling for its residents and businesses. The plan was approved by village council in early June. Rumpke will be the service provider.

‘Because Rumpke realizes that with a curbside recycling program less waste will be going to the landfill, they dramatically lowered their fees for rear-door garbage collection – enough to cover the costs of curbside recycling,’ [Glendale Mayor Joe] Hubbard said, adding that the program will be evaluated at the end of the next contract year.”
