Call to Action

AEP solar hearing

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) has scheduled a public hearing on AEP’s proposal for 900 megawatts of renewable energy in Ohio, including 400 megawatts of solar in Appalachian Ohio. The PUCO is assessing the need for renewables in Ohio. It’s critical we pack the house and that the PUCO hears from Ohioans like you who want more clean energy and the jobs that come with it.

Please attend this important hearing and speak up in support of Ohio’s clean energy future.

Details:
Date: Tuesday, December 4, 2018
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: Hearing Room 11-A, at the offices of the Commission,
180 East Broad Street, 11th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

If approved, AEP will move forward with developing 900 megawatts of solar and wind energy in Ohio for use by its Ohio customers. Renewable energy investments in our state are not only good for our environment and create clean jobs, but in the long term, it will lower energy bills. We need to move forward with renewables now, rather than being on the hook to bail out old coal and nuclear plants that are no longer competitive.
Ohioans overwhelmingly support a transition to clean energy. Now it’s imperative that we show up on December 4th and make our voices heard.
