Before you vote, see how they stand on fracking

Before you vote for a candidate for the Ohio General Assembly, see how the candidates from your district stand on fracking. Most incumbents voted for the fracking law that includes the medical gag-order.

For candidates who are incumbents, you can check how they voted. For any candidates who filled out a questionnaire on the issue, you can click the link after their name to read their answers.

On October 4, State Senator Michael Skindell and State Representative Robert Hagan introduced identical companion bills, S.B. 379 and H.B. 596, to fix the medical right-to-know and ‘gag-order’ provisions of Ohio’s new hydraulic fracturing law.  In the column marked “Sponsor fix?” if an incumbent has sponsored one of the bills, the word “Yes” appears. If a challenger has pledged to co-sponsor one of these bills, similarly a “Yes” appears.

If you have questions, comments, or more information on any of the candidates, please email Nathan Rutz, Cleveland campaign organizer.
