Candidates for Cincinnati mayor to meet in environmental forum September 17

CINCINNATI — Front runners in Cincinnati’s mayor’s race Roxanne Qualls and John Cranley have agreed to debate on city environmental issues in an upcoming forum at the Northside Tavern, sponsored by the Cincinnati Green Group. This will be the third annual such forum for the group, which formed in 2010 to prevent the city’s curbside recycling program from being cut out of the budget. This year’s event will also feature a forum for city council candidates and will be moderated by Dr. James Buchanan, Director of the Bruggeman Center for Dialogue at Xavier University. Questions can be submitted ahead of the event at the group’s website www.cincygreengroup.org.
