WELLSVILLE — “The Riverside Roadhouse was packed Friday with Wellsville village and Columbiana County officials, small business owners and others anxious to hear U.S. Rep. Charlie Wilson (D-6th) speak about local economic development efforts…
Wilson then turned his attention the Baard Ohio River Clean Fuels Energy Project.
‘In our state and our nation we have the tools here to do advanced energy. We have the God-given tools (like) the river that is right outside. We have the tools in order to make ourselves energy independent as we move forward,’ he said.
Wilson also said he has been talking to John Baardson, chief executive officer of Baard Energy, and President Obama regarding the local energy project.
‘I talk to (Baardson) about once a month,’ he said. ‘I can’t speak to where they are, what they are doing, but I can speak to what (Congress) is doing.’”
