How did your Representative vote on HB 6?

Ohio House Bill 6 passed the Ohio House of Representatives on May 29, and it’s now heading to the Ohio Senate. This bill would create add an extra charge on all Ohioans electric bills, creating a bailout tax to fund failing nuclear and coal plants, one of which is in Indiana. At the same time, the bill eliminates Ohio’s renewable energy and energy efficiency standards, which have been significant sources of funding for clean energy jobs in Ohio.

Thanks to pressure from constituents, this bill didn’t pass along party lines. 17 Republicans voted against it, and 10 Democrats voted in favor of it. House Bill 6 barely reached the minimum number of votes to go to the Senate. Join us in contacting our legislators and urging them to vote NO on House Bill 6.
