Ohio Citizen Action welcomes new Cleveland Canvass Director Hannah Spring

Hannah Spring

Hannah Spring started canvassing February 2018 in East Lansing, Michigan for Clean Water Action. Her first campaign involved working on the lead and copper rule in Michigan, which resulted in the strongest lead regulations in the country. Hannah says, “The rule states that in the next 20 years all the lead service lines have to be replaced. That victory speaks to the impact community and grassroots organizing has – but there’s still so much work to be done.”

Hannah was born and raised with her older brother Eric in Battle Creek, Michigan. Her father is a union railroad worker and Hannah is the first in her family to graduate from college. Hannah received a Bachelor of Science in psychology. Before joining Ohio Citizen Action she conducted evaluation research on coalition and community based efforts for at risk youth, which ignited her passion for policy and grassroots initiatives.

Hannah says she is thrilled to be a part of Ohio Citizen Action and can’t wait to, “dive into a set of issues that will revolutionize the health, wellness and economy for Ohioans.”
