Dear Senator Sherrod Brown,

My name is Jonathon Sawyer. I’m a chef and business owner in downtown Cleveland. Our restaurant The Greenhouse Tavern is the first and only restaurant in the state of Ohio certified by the Green Restaurant Association for sustainable practice. I am writing on behalf of the Ohio Citizen Action Lake Shore coal power plant campaign. It is extremely important to me that we leave this world a better place than it was left for us, and the amount of pollution released by the Lake Shore coal plant is extremely detrimental to our community.  I am formally asking for your support to shut down the plant and seek sustainable alternatives until modern pollution controls can be put in place.

Sincerely,

Jonathon Sawyer

p.s. please don’t approve the garbage incinerator proposed for Ridge Road in CLE. I like to keep my mercury levels low.
