CINCINNATI — “Former Cincinnati mayor and councilwoman Roxanne Qualls has been hired by Xavier University. She’ll be Special Assistant to the Provost for Urban and Regional Engagement and will report to Provost and Chief Academic Officer Scott Chadwick.
She was hired because of her background in community engagement in the urban core. She will work with students and faculty as a ‘bridge builder to the community’ to make sure the university’s programs ’emphasize theory, practice and participation in a rapidly changing global society,’ said Chadwick.
The appointment comes as Xavier is accepting applications for two new Masters programs focusing on urban innovation.”
