South Euclid Councilman Ed Icove to receive award for consumer protection

SOUTH EUCLID — “Ohio Citizen Action, an organization made up of 80,000 Ohioans who have joined together to prevent pollution, will honor South Euclid Councilman Ed Icove Oct. 23 at its 35th anniversary celebration event with its Constitutional Guardian Award.

‘Ed Icove has spent his entire career working to protect consumers, communities and their First Amendment rights,’ said Sandy Buchanan, executive director of Ohio Citizen Action. ‘Ed’s work is characterized not only by his extensive legal knowledge, but also by his compassionate nature and genuine dedication to the principles of freedom of speech, religion, and the press that are guaranteed by the First Amendment.’
