Ohio Supreme Court justices are our last line of defense against statehouse corruption. The state supreme court rules on critical issues like reproductive rights, election law, and utility-scale solar siting across Ohio. We endorse Justice Jennifer Brunner because she stands for legislative accountability, judicial integrity, and access to justice for all Ohioans. 

Consumer Rights

Reliably applies the law to protect the rights of Ohioans in state Supreme Court cases on utility rates, consumer fraud, and worker compensation.

Voting Rights

Voted against gerrymandered district maps in six separate challenges brought before the court in the 2022 cycle, fighting for Ohioans to have representatives elected in fairly drawn districts that do not favor one party over another.

Utility Accountability

Joined a unanimous 2025 Ohio Supreme Court ruling requiring AES Ohio to return $61.1 million in excessive earnings to ratepayers, siding with consumers over utility special interests. 

Environment

Believes that recognizing climate change in environmental law is not partisan, and that courts uphold and interpret environmental laws developed in response to the scientific and global realization that the protection of the environment is of foremost concern.

Anti Corruption

• In 2023, Brunner filed a federal lawsuit to remove partisan party labels from judicial ballots, arguing that state laws requiring these labels force judges into partisan politics and remove judicial independence.
