Alexander Clemetson is a seasoned development and philanthropy leader with more than eight years of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through strategic fundraising, major gifts, donor engagement, and organizational growth.

Throughout his career, Alex has raised more than $3 million in philanthropic support while developing multi-million-dollar fundraising pipelines that position organizations for long-term sustainability.

He currently serves as the Director of Development at Ohio Citizen Action, where he leads comprehensive fundraising strategies, major and planned giving initiatives, membership growth, and donor engagement efforts that advance environmental justice and civic participation across Ohio. His experience spans higher education, environmental advocacy, community development, social enterprise, and the arts.

In addition to his fundraising leadership, Alexander served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he helped prepare the next generation of environmental leaders. A nonprofit executive, educator, and community builder, he is driven by equity, innovation, and a deep commitment to creating lasting social impact through philanthropy and collaborative leadership.
