Seth Walsh for Ohio Treasurer
Seth Walsh is running for Ohio Treasurer to serve as an independent steward of taxpayer dollars, pensions, and savings while uplifting neighborhoods throughout the state. Walsh often says he sees the Treasurer’s ofÏce as an opportunity to oversee Ohio’s $280 billion budget with real transparency and to invest in communities that have been left behind.
Consumer Rights and Business Development
Walsh has vocally opposed the Ohio legislature’s use of unclaimed funds for sports stadiums. He believes the state treasurer’s office has a fiduciary responsibility to join the current lawsuit against using unclaimed funds to finance Cleveland Browns proposed new stadium.
Voting Rights
Walsh’s campaign is deliberately spending time in small towns rather than major metro areas, reflecting a genuine understanding of where disengaged voters live.
Environment
As a Cincinnati City Councilmember, Walsh serves on the Climate, City Services & Infrastructure Committee. The committee is responsible for addressing a wide range of sustainability issues such as carbon emissions and promoting sustainable practices.
Anti Corruption
As Treasurer, Walsh would be committed to transparency in the way Ohio manages its money. He will protect public pensions while making smart investments and developing partnerships that strengthen the long-term stability of our state.
