As Mayor of Maple Heights, Blackwell inherited a city in fiscal crisis and turned it around, earning three consecutive Clean Audit Awards. She is not part of the system that has captured the state government for special interests. She has the receipts to prove she can manage public resources with the transparency Ohio families deserve.

Aims to shift the role of the Auditor away from punitive measures to helping cities before problems arise. This will curb financial mismanagement and corruption before it takes root.
